Ricardo Caldas

Ricardo D. Caldas is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Gran Sasso Science Institute (GSSI). He earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology (Sweden) in 2024 and a master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Brasília (Brazil) in 2019. His research focuses on developing resilient robots capable of operating autonomously in uncertain environments. Specifically, he explores cutting-edge software engineering techniques—including software architecture, dependable self-adaptation, and field-based testing (i.e., real-world validation)—applied to ROS-based robots to enhance their resilience.
