Pierre Lionnet

Pierre Lionnet is an economist working on space related issues since 1992. Formally trained in economics, finance, and the industrial management of innovation, with early work experience in venture Capital and at ESA, he currently holds the position of Research (and managing) Director at Eurospace, the leading trade organisation of the European space industry. At Eurospace Pierre is leading space markets monitoring with a focus on European space industry size and health, European space budgets, global space infrastructure markets and the emerging ‘newspace’ start-up environment. A well respected expert of the matter, Pierre is often referenced in the space and financial press, he also has quite a following on Linkedin and X/Twitter. Besides his main line of work at Eurospace Pierre is also a hands-on advisor of Starburst Ventures (a venture-capital fund) and works as an Expert for the European Innovation Council for space related matters.
