Luca Lomazzi

Luca Lomazzi

Luca Lomazzi is an Assistant Professor at Politecnico di Milano, where he conducts research in the fields of structural health monitoring and the analysis of structures under dynamic and extreme loads. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Physics, a Master’s in Aeronautical Engineering, and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering.
Luca has been a visiting researcher at NTNU in Norway and CU Boulder in the USA. He has presented his work at prestigious international conferences and workshops, including events at Stanford and Harvard. As a member of the New England Complex Fluids group, Luca focuses on applying physics principles to engineering challenges, bridging the gap between fundamental science and practical applications. His research aims to advance the field of structural engineering through the study, development, and application of physics principles, such as fractal theory and percolation models.
