Fortunato Santucci

Fortunato Santucci (SM IEEE) is a Professor of Telecommunications at the University of L’Aquila and holds a Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering. He has collaborated with universities worldwide and authored about 300 publications. His research focuses on energy-efficient communications for IoT, vehicular communications, network security, satellite systems, and communication-control co-design for industrial automation. He served as Deputy Director of the Centre of Excellence of Ex-EMERGE on connected vehicles (2019–2025), and he is currently Vice-President of the Radiolabs consortium. He has held academic leadership roles, served on IEEE committees, and was an editor for IEEE Transactions on Communications (2000–2013).
