Federico D’Amico

After achieving the master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering at La Sapienza in Rome, Federico joined Leonardo Helicopters in January 2020 as Structural Dynamics Analyst, performing aeroelastic analysis and dynamical loads assessment (such as landing and ditching as well) for Tiltrotors applications.

On March 2022, He moved in the Simulation for Design and Certification team, on the Digital Engineering department of Leonardo Corporate, with the scope to develop Multi-Disciplinary Design Optimization tasks in DaVinci-1 environment, the Leonardo’s HPC, and benchmark activities between different vendors’ tools to reduce costs and make the software’s usage more efficient. Recently, He focused on the development of Digital Twin inside Leonardo Business Units, considered as an asset to guarantee i) development costsreduction and ii) predictive maintenance and damage recognition.
