
Enrico Piccinini
Enrico Piccinini is currently Team Leader/Business Development Manager at Egicon Srl (Modena, Italy). In 2000, he graduated in Electronic Engineering, working on high-performance architectures for image processing at the University of Ferrara. In 2000, he started working on mission-critical software for biomedical dialysis equipment at Livanova SpA. In 2007, he earned his Ph.D. in Flexible Robotics: “Localization and motion planning algorithms”, collaborating with the “La Sapienza” University of Rome as a fellow in the Azzurra Robot Team (robotics soccer team). After coordinating several projects in complex software architecture for highway control systems (Autostrade per l‘Italia and Brenner Autobahn) and robotics equipment for automotive production (Lamborghini, Ferrari, and Fiat), in 2007-2008, he collaborated with Leonardo SpA on developing Communication Software Radio for the Airbus A380 and Eurofighter. Since 2015, with Egicon Srl, he has led the projects: “Robotics for aerospace production”: CRATOS (TAS-I L’Aquila: the first Italian human-robot collaboration industrial application), PROMETHEUS (TAS-I Rome), and ICARUS (TAS-I Rome). He is still leading robotics projects for the Aerospace Industry at Egicon Srl. Professional interests: advanced robotics and AI in robotics, robotics modelling for in-orbit servicing.
