Edoardo Raparelli

Edoardo Raparelli is a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the University of L’Aquila in atmospheric and cryospheric sciences, specialized in snowpack modeling and remote sensing. He is affiliated to CETEMPS, member of the SHINE research team and a qualified AINEVA and SVI-CAI snow and avalanche observer. Edoardo earned a Bachelor’s degree in Physics at the University of L’Aquila, a Master’s degree in Atmospheric and Cryospheric Sciences at the University of Innsbruck, completing his thesis at the WSL Institute for Snow and Avalanche Research (SLF) in Davos. He later earned a Ph.D. in Information and Communication Technologies at Sapienza University of Rome, investigating seasonal snow cover properties in the Italian Central Apennines. Through a multidisciplinary approach that combines field data, remote sensing, and numerical modeling, Edoardo investigates the interaction between the atmosphere ad the snow cover properties, with the aim of improving predictive capabilities for snowpack-atmosphere interactions and snow-related hazards in mountainous regions. His work is widely published in leading scientific journals.
